Your Egyptologist guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning to begin your journey to Dahshur, located about 40 km south of Cairo. Here, you’ll explore two of Egypt’s oldest pyramids, the Bent Pyramid, famous for its unique change in angle partway up, and the Red Pyramid, the first smooth-sided pyramid in history, built from striking red limestone.
Continue to Saqqara, home to the world’s first monumental stone structure, the Step Pyramid of Djoser. Built in the 27th century BCE, it marks the beginning of pyramid architecture.
