Itinerary

Welcome to Egypt. Your 6 day Egypt tour begins the moment you arrive at Cairo International Airport, where our representative will meet you, assist with arrival procedures, and ensure everything is smooth and stress-free from the start.

After a comfortable transfer, head to your hotel in Cairo for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is free for you to relax, recover from your journey, or take a short walk around your hotel area.

This first day is kept simple to give you time to settle in and prepare for the days ahead, where your journey through Egypt’s most famous sites begins.

🍽️ Meals: Not Included 🛏️ Overnight: Cairo Hotel

Today is the moment most travelers imagine before coming to Egypt. After breakfast, you head to the Giza Plateau, where the pyramids rise from the desert.

Standing in front of the Great Pyramid of Khufu is not just about seeing a monument; it’s about understanding its scale. Built over 4,500 years ago, it remained the tallest structure on Earth for nearly 4,000 years. Your guide will walk you through the site, explaining how these structures were built, what they meant to ancient Egyptians, and the stories behind them.

As you continue across the plateau, you’ll have time to walk between the pyramids, take panoramic photos, and experience the site from different viewpoints. For a more memorable experience, you can try an optional camel ride across the desert or even enter one of the pyramids (an optional ticket) for a closer look inside.

Then visit the Great Sphinx, the iconic statue with the body of a lion and the head of a king, which has guarded this area for thousands of years.

After lunch at a local restaurant, your day shifts from ancient to modern at the Grand Egyptian Museum. This is not just a museum; it is an immersive experience designed to tell the full story of ancient Egypt. You’ll see remarkable artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun, displayed together in a way that makes their story easier to understand and connect with.

At the end of the day, return to your hotel in Cairo to rest after a full and memorable experience.

Traveler’s Tip: Arrive early at the Giza Plateau to enjoy cooler weather and fewer crowds. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sunglasses, and carry water; the open desert can get hot, even in winter.

🍽️ Meals: Breakfast & Lunch  🛏️ Overnight: Cairo Hotel

After breakfast, leave Cairo behind and travel north to Alexandria, a city that feels completely different from anywhere else in Egypt. Set along the Mediterranean coast, Alexandria offers a mix of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian history, along with a more relaxed atmosphere.

Your first stop is the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, one of the most unique burial sites in Egypt. These underground tombs combine Egyptian, Greek, and Roman influences, giving you a rare look at how cultures blended during that period.

Continue to Pompey’s Pillar, a towering Roman column that has stood here for centuries, marking what was once a major center of learning and power in ancient Alexandria.

From there, head to the Citadel of Qaitbay, set right on the Mediterranean coast. This fortress was built on the exact location of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

The tour also includes a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern architectural landmark that honors the legacy of the ancient Library of Alexandria, one of the most important centers of knowledge in history.

After lunch at a local restaurant, take some time to enjoy the sea views before heading back to Cairo. By the time you return, you’ll have experienced a completely different side of Egypt, shaped by the sea and centuries of cultural exchange.

Traveler’s Tip: Alexandria is often cooler than Cairo, so a light jacket can be useful, especially in winter. Sunglasses are also helpful along the coast due to the bright reflection from the sea.

🍽️ Meals: Breakfast & Lunch 🛏️ Overnight: Cairo Hotel

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. In less than an hour, you arrive in the heart of ancient Egypt, where your Egyptologist guide will be waiting to begin your exploration.

Start your visit at Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built. This vast site was expanded over more than 2,000 years, and walking through it gives you a sense of how important it once was. The highlight is the Great Hypostyle Hall, where 134 massive columns rise high above you, covered in detailed carvings.

Continue to Luxor Temple, located in the center of the city. Unlike many other temples, it was not only a place of worship but also used for royal ceremonies and important festivals.

As you walk through its large courtyards and tall columns, you’ll notice a different feeling here. Luxor Temple is open, easy to explore, and gives you a clear picture of how ancient Egyptians used temples in daily life and celebrations.

After your visits, transfer to your hotel in Luxor for check-in. The evening is free, giving you time to relax or explore the area at your own pace.

Traveler’s Tip: Luxor is usually warmer than Cairo, so wear light clothing, sunscreen, and a hat. Early visits are more comfortable, especially in warmer months.

🍽️ Meals: Breakfast 🛏️ Overnight: Luxor Hotel

Today takes you to the West Bank of Luxor, where the focus shifts from temples to royal tombs and hidden history. After breakfast, cross the Nile to begin exploring one of the most important archaeological areas in Egypt.

Start at the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried deep inside the mountains. Instead of building pyramids, they chose hidden tombs to protect their treasures. You will enter selected tombs, where vibrant wall paintings still cover the walls, telling stories of the afterlife and ancient beliefs.

Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most unique structures in Egypt. Built into the cliffs, this temple reflects both the power and ambition of one of Egypt’s most remarkable rulers, a female pharaoh who ruled as king.

Before leaving the West Bank, stop at the Colossi of Memnon. These two massive statues have stood in the same place for more than 3,000 years, offering a final glimpse into the scale of ancient construction.

After your visits, transfer to Luxor Airport for your return flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for your final night.

Traveler’s Tip: The Valley of the Kings involves walking on uneven ground and steps inside the tombs. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during warmer months.

🍽️ Meals: Breakfast  🛏️ Overnight: Cairo Hotel

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your final day in Cairo with a visit to the Citadel of Saladin. Built in the 12th century, the citadel offers a different side of Cairo’s history, with wide views over the city.

Inside the citadel, visit the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, one of Cairo’s most famous landmarks. Known for its large domes and elegant interior, it gives you a clear look at Ottoman-style architecture in Egypt.

Continue to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the oldest and most famous market in Cairo. Here, you can walk through narrow streets filled with shops selling traditional crafts, spices, jewelry, and souvenirs. It’s a great place to experience local life and pick up something to remember your trip.

After your visit, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.

Traveler’s Tip: Keep some small cash with you for shopping at Khan El Khalili, and allow enough time for your airport transfer, especially during busy hours.
