One solo trip, two very different sides of Egypt. Cairo brings the energy, ancient wonders, and busy city life; Alexandria adds sea views, open skies, and the calmer rhythm of the Mediterranean.
This Cairo and Alexandria tour package is created for a woman who wants to travel independently without spending the journey handling transport, tickets, directions, or unfamiliar arrangements alone. You will have your own hotel room, private air-conditioned vehicle, and private female Egyptologist guide, giving you space to enjoy each place at a pace that feels right for you.
The four-day program balances ancient Egyptian history in Cairo with the Greek, Roman, and Mediterranean story of Alexandria. There is time for famous landmarks, local food, photographs, and quiet evenings without filling every hour of your day.
With Respect Tours, Egypt Through Local Eyes, your airport welcome, accommodation, private transfers, entrance tickets, guided visits, included meals, and bottled water are arranged before you arrive. You keep the freedom and confidence of travelling solo while our local team takes care of the details between Cairo and Alexandria.
Hi girl, welcome to Egypt! Your solo journey begins at Cairo International Airport, where a Respect Tours representative will be waiting for you at the confirmed meeting point. Your arrival information will be shared before you travel, so you know exactly where to go and who will be meeting you.
After assistance with the airport procedures, travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to your Cairo hotel. Check in to your private room, unpack, and enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace. No sightseeing is planned, giving you time to rest properly after your flight.
Your private female Egyptologist guide will lead your sightseeing tours in Cairo and Alexandria, and the Respect Tours team will remain available throughout your stay whenever you need local help.
Girl’s Tip: Tomorrow will include sunshine, desert paths, and plenty of photographs. Before bed, prepare a breathable outfit, comfortable closed shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a zipped crossbody bag.
🍽️ Meals: None 🛏️ Overnight: Cairo
Good morning! After breakfast, leave the hotel with your private female Egyptologist guide and travel to the Giza Plateau. Begin with the three pyramids built for Kings Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Look closely at the top of Khafre’s Pyramid, where part of the original smooth outer covering can still be seen, and learn why his pyramid can appear taller than the Great Pyramid even though it is smaller.
Entry inside a pyramid is available with an additional ticket. There are no paintings or golden rooms inside; the experience focuses on moving through the structure's narrow passages. Your guide will explain what to expect before you decide.
At the panoramic viewpoint, leave the car behind for a short camel ride across the open desert. The route and price are already arranged, so you can enjoy the view without negotiating with vendors. Pause with the three pyramids behind you while your guide helps with photographs.
Continue to the Great Sphinx and stand close enough to see the details of the face and paws. Nearby, enter the Valley Temple, built from huge blocks of stone and once used during the royal burial process.
After lunch at a local restaurant, exchange the desert sun for the spacious galleries of the Grand Egyptian Museum. Meet the colossal statue of Ramses II and explore objects from different periods of Egyptian history before reaching the treasures of Tutankhamun. Seeing the young king’s belongings together gives you a more personal look at his life beyond the famous golden mask.
Return to your hotel after the museum, with the evening free to rest or enjoy Cairo in your own way.
Girl’s Tip: Trousers, jeans, or comfortable leggings are more practical than a short skirt or dress for the camel ride. Apply sunscreen before leaving and bring sunglasses, a light scarf, closed shoes, and a zipped crossbody bag. Light makeup usually lasts better in the desert heat, and your guide can help take photos so you do not need to hand your phone to strangers.
🍽️ Meals: Breakfast and lunch 🛏️ Overnight: Cairo
After breakfast, meet your private female Egyptologist guide and travel north by private air-conditioned vehicle to Alexandria. The drive usually takes around three hours, giving you time to relax before reaching the coast.
Begin at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an underground burial site where Egyptian, Greek, and Roman styles appear together. Walk down the spiral staircase and explore chambers cut into the rock, with carvings that show how different cultures once shared the same city.
Visit Pompey’s Pillar, Alexandria’s tallest surviving ancient monument. The red-granite column was built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian, not Pompey, despite its name, and now stands among the remains of the ancient Serapeum.
Next, head to the Mediterranean shore and visit Qaitbay Citadel. The fortress was built in the 15th century on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Walk through its stone rooms, look across the harbor, and enjoy some of the best sea views of the day.
Stop for lunch at a selected restaurant before visiting the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Its modern circular design was inspired by the ancient Library of Alexandria, once one of the greatest centers of learning in the world. Explore the available visitor areas and learn how the new library continues the city’s long connection with books, science, and culture.
After the visit, settle into your private vehicle for the return journey to Cairo. Arrive at your hotel in the evening and enjoy your final night at leisure.
Girl’s Tip: Alexandria is often cooler and windier than Cairo, so keep a light layer and a hair tie in your day bag. Comfortable shoes are important for the steps inside the catacombs and the stone floors at Qaitbay Citadel. If long drives make you uncomfortable, eat a light breakfast and keep anything you normally use for travel sickness close at hand.
🍽️ Meals: Breakfast and lunch 🛏️ Overnight: Cairo
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is normally closed on Fridays and certain public holidays. If it is closed on your tour date, the program or type of visit may be adjusted according to availability and local arrangements.
Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel before checking out of your private room. At the confirmed time, your driver will meet you in the lobby for the private transfer to Cairo International Airport.
The departure time will be planned around your flight, giving you enough time for check-in, security, and passport control without rushing.
Girl’s Tip: Keep your passport, phone, charger, wallet, flight details, and a pen together in your hand luggage. Wrap any glass, perfume, or fragile souvenirs carefully, and check your room safe, bathroom, and charging points before leaving the hotel.
🍽️ Meals: Breakfast ✈️ Departure: Cairo International Airport
The library is normally closed on Fridays and certain public holidays. If it is unavailable on your tour date, Respect Tours will adjust the visit according to the opening schedule and available local arrangements.
Cairo is usually warmer and drier, while Alexandria can feel cooler and windier because it is on the Mediterranean coast. Summers are hot, and winters are milder, with a greater chance of rain in Alexandria. Check the forecast shortly before travelling and bring a light layer for the Alexandria day.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, tissues, hand sanitizer, a power bank, any personal medication, and the period products you prefer to use. A zipped crossbody bag is practical because it keeps your belongings close while leaving your hands free.
Toilets are available at the museum, restaurants, and several main visitor areas. Standards can vary between locations, so keeping tissues and hand sanitizer in your bag is useful.
Contact your guide, driver, hotel reception, or the Respect Tours team using the details provided before arrival. The local team can help with changes, medical assistance, transportation, or any concern during the program.
