Itinerary

Your dahabiya adventure begins in Aswan, where a Respect Tours representative greets you with a warm welcome. Step aboard your elegant sailing boat and settle into your floating home as the attentive crew makes you comfortable.

With your private Egyptologist guide, you’ll begin exploring two of Aswan’s most significant landmarks. First, explore the High Dam, a modern engineering wonder that forever changed the course of the Nile. Then, take a motorboat ride to the enchanting Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and beautifully relocated to its island sanctuary.

Back onboard, a freshly prepared dinner awaits, followed by an evening of Nubian music and dance, an unforgettable introduction to the culture and warmth of Upper Egypt. As night falls, relax on deck or retreat to your private cabin, drifting to sleep with the timeless rhythm of the Nile.

3 Night Nile River Cruise Aswan to Luxor by Dahabiya

Begin your day with breakfast on deck as your dahabiya glides gently along the Nile. The river carries you to Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit one of Egypt’s most unique temples. Perched dramatically on the riverbank, this double sanctuary is dedicated to two powerful deities: Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility, and Horus the Elder, the falcon-headed god of protection.

After your visit, return to the boat for a relaxed lunch and afternoon tea as the sails catch the wind and guide you toward Edfu. Here, you’ll step into the awe-inspiring Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. Its towering pylons, intricate reliefs, and sacred chambers bring to life the myths and rituals of the ancient world.

As evening falls, rejoin your dahabiya for a festive dinner followed by an Egyptian Galabeya Party, where guests and crew alike celebrate in traditional dress. Spend the night moored in Edfu, lulled to rest by the quiet charm of the Nile.

3 Night Nile River Cruise Aswan to Luxor by Dahabiya

This morning, your dahabiya sails gracefully toward Luxor, the legendary city of temples and pharaohs. After breakfast on board, prepare to explore some of Egypt’s most iconic monuments on the East Bank of the Nile.

By the afternoon, you’ll arrive in what is often called the world’s greatest open-air museum, ready to explore its timeless wonders with your Egyptologist guide.

Begin at the Karnak Temple, a vast complex of towering columns and sacred spaces that once stood at the heart of ancient Thebes. Then, continue to the elegant Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated by the soft glow of late afternoon light, where statues of Ramses II and shrines dedicated to the gods tell stories of kingship and devotion.

Return to your dahabiya for dinner, followed by an evening of lively entertainment with a belly dancer show. Spend the night moored in Luxor, with the ancient city resting just beyond your cabin.

3 Night Nile River Cruise Aswan to Luxor by Dahabiya

After breakfast on board, your final day begins with a journey to Luxor’s West Bank. Here, you’ll walk in the footsteps of the pharaohs at the Valley of the Kings, where richly painted chambers reveal ancient secrets of the afterlife.

Continue to the majestic Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a three-tiered masterpiece rising dramatically against towering cliffs, a monument to Egypt’s most powerful female ruler. Before leaving the West Bank, pause at the towering Colossi of Memnon, silent guardians of Thebes that have endured thousands of years of history.

After your visit, return to the dahabiya to collect your luggage and enjoy a final moment on deck. As you disembark, you’ll carry with you not just memories of ancient temples and tombs, but also the timeless rhythm of the Nile and the soul of Egypt seen through local eyes.
