About this tour

Step back in time with a private tour to the Abydos Temples and Dendera from Luxor, two of Egypt’s most beautiful and best-preserved ancient sites. This full-day journey takes you deep into Upper Egypt, where colorfully painted ceilings and sacred carvings have survived for thousands of years.

At Respect Tours, we believe places like these show the real spirit of Egypt, quiet, powerful, and full of stories. In Abydos, visit the Temple of Seti I, believed to be where Osiris, god of the underworld, is buried. Then head to Dendera to see the Temple of Hathor, the goddess of love, where the ceilings are painted like the sky.

This isn’t just a history tour, it’s a connection to Egypt’s ancient spirit. With a private Egyptologist, modern vehicle, and every detail handled, all you need to do is look, listen, and feel Egypt through local eyes.

Itinerary

Day Tour to Dendera and Abydos Temples

Your day begins with a comfortable morning pickup from your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor. Relax in a private, air-conditioned vehicle as your Egyptologist guide takes you north toward two of ancient Egypt’s most beautifully preserved temples.

You’ll start at Abydos, one of the oldest and most sacred cities in ancient Egypt. Here, the Temple of Seti I tells stories of gods, kings, and the journey to the afterlife, carved into walls so well preserved they still carry their original detail and color.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, with time to relax and recharge before the next part of your journey.

Then continue to Dendera, home of the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy, which shines with beautiful ceilings, vibrant hieroglyphs, underground crypts, and the rare Zodiac of Dendera, all glowing with stories carved in color.

After your visit, your driver will take you back to Luxor. Arrive at your hotel or Nile cruise in the late afternoon, full of memories.
