Your journey begins in Luxor, the heart of ancient Thebes, where you'll be warmly welcomed aboard your elegant dahabiya. After settling into your private cabin, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on deck as the Nile glides by. In the afternoon, step ashore to explore the East Bank’s legendary temples.
In the afternoon, step back thousands of years as you visit the magnificent temples of the East Bank. Start at the Temple of Karnak, Egypt’s largest temple complex, where towering columns and sacred lakes echo with ancient power. Then stroll through the atmospheric Luxor Temple as it glows in the late afternoon light.
As evening falls, return to your dahabiya for dinner and your first tranquil night on the Nile, moored near the West Bank.
Start your morning with breakfast on board before heading to Luxor’s West Bank. Walk through the Valley of the Kings, where ancient tombs cut into the mountains hold the secrets of Egypt’s most powerful rulers. Explore richly decorated with ancient hieroglyphs and vibrant wall art.
Then continue to the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved into towering cliffs, and pause at the Colossi of Memnon, guardians of ancient Thebes.
Return to your dahabiya for lunch as the sail begins southward. Spend your afternoon sipping tea on the sun deck as golden fields and palm groves drift by. Dinner is served onboard, and you'll anchor near a peaceful Nile island for the night.
Enjoy breakfast as your dahabiya crosses the Esna Lock, a unique moment in Nile navigation. Sail onward to Edfu, where a horse-drawn carriage awaits to take you to the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s most complete and awe-inspiring temples. After exploring its sacred halls and vibrant reliefs, return to your dahabiya for lunch on deck.
As the boat sails toward Al Ramady Island, the Nile reveals its most tranquil side: lush fields, palm groves, and timeless river life. With the river calm and the desert in the distance, enjoy a serene dinner and overnight stay anchored in nature.
Wake up early as your boat reaches the sandstone cliffs of Gebel el-Silsila. Visit this less-traveled site where ancient stones were quarried for temples and where small shrines were carved directly into the rock face.
Back onboard, continue sailing south to Kom Ombo, where you'll visit the dramatic riverside temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. The twin design of this temple and its captivating reliefs make it one of the Nile’s most unique sites.
Afterward, sail toward El Sheikh Fadl Island. Enjoy tea time, a quiet dinner under the stars, and overnight sailing toward Aswan.
Arrive in Aswan early in the morning and enjoy a final breakfast on board. Farewell, and set off to explore the majestic Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. This temple is a true gem of ancient architecture and spiritual energy.
Then, visit the mighty High Dam, a symbol of Egypt’s modern engineering, offering panoramic views over Lake Nasser. As your journey comes to an end, take one last look at the timeless river that carried you through Egypt’s ancient soul.
A dahabiya offers a more intimate and traditional experience. With fewer passengers, no noisy engines, and the ability to dock at smaller, off-the-beaten-path spots, it’s the most authentic and peaceful way to explore the Nile.
