After the visit, return to the cruise and continue the journey north toward Luxor. The day starts on Luxor’s West Bank with a visit to the legendary Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of ancient Egyptian pharaohs were hidden deep inside the mountains of the Theban desert. Inside the tombs, you’ll see colorful wall paintings, ancient hieroglyphs, and scenes connected to the journey to the afterlife. Your ticket includes entry to three tombs, while special royal tombs can be visited with additional tickets.
Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. Built directly against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, the temple stands out for its elegant terraces, dramatic setting, and the story of one of the most powerful women in ancient Egyptian history.
